Canker sores, (Aphthous stomatitis) are very common and can appear on the tongue, inside of cheeks, lips, or gums. They usually begin as a little crater surrounded by slightly raised concentric rings of yellow then red. Canker sores range in size from miniscule to over two centimetres. Their healing period can take from two days to two weeks. Typical symptoms are pain, burning when eating certain foods and bad breath.<\/p>\n

Ulcers can also develop in the esophagus, resulting in irritation or pain upon swallowing certain foods, acid and bad breath.<\/p>\n

The cause of canker sores may be different for each individual, but generally there will be a challenge with\u00a0 weakened immune function as well as nutritional deficiencies of iron, B12, lysine, or folic acid. Poor oral hygiene, food allergies and sensitives (especially to chocolate, gluten, oranges, lemons, tomatoes, pineapple \u2013 all fruits which are\u00a0 acidic in the mouth, even though they are alkalinizing for the pH),\u00a0 systemic Candida, stress and fatigue may be underlying causes. It is important to determine what is causing cankers for you.<\/p>\n

What can be done to prevent and heal canker sores?<\/h4>\n

Topically<\/strong>: apply directly to cankers, or other sores<\/p>\n

Tea Tree Oil <\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u2013 apply 1 drop directly on sore 2-3 times per day<\/p>\n

Silver Gel<\/a><\/strong><\/em> \u2013 apply a dab directly on sore 2-3 times per day<\/p>\n

Internally<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Drink at least 3 tsp. of Chlorophyll<\/em><\/strong><\/a> to help alkalinize the system. Chlorophyll<\/em> <\/strong>can also be gargled straight, then \u00a0 swallowed.<\/p>\n

Liquid Silver Guard<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>can also be swished and held in mouth, if possible, for 6 minutes, then swallowed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (Do not be put off by the label of mouthwash; this is necessary for approval by a government branch which protects pharmaceuticals in the guise of protecting the public’s health.)<\/p>\n

It is useful to support the entire immune system when working with canker sores. Sometimes it is necessary to implement the Candida diet also. Because of this, we have noted good results when we include Bifidophilus Flora Force<\/em><\/strong><\/a> <\/em>with the program.<\/p>\n

HRP-C Liquid<\/em><\/strong><\/a> or HRP-C Capsules<\/em><\/strong><\/a> are beneficial for many people, especially if there is viral or bacterial involvement. This combination of herbs stimulates the immune response to fight micro-organisms . It is available in liquid or capsule form.<\/p>\n

Drinking Aloe Vera Juice<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is one of the best for sores or ulcers that are not reachable, i.e. further back in mouth or in esophagus.<\/p>\n
