What a great way to celebrate Earth Day. Preparing some Elecampane, Inula helenium<\/em>, root with my 4 1\/2 month old grandson. Start ’em young is my motto. He is one healthy herbal baby!<\/p>\n

Our 5 yr. old neighbour, Ember, was helping dig jerusalem artichoke tubers, also known as sunchokes, (Helianthus tuberosus<\/em>) – a great source of natural inulin, when we came across this forgotten elecampane plant with some very healthy roots!<\/p>\n

Elecampane is such a wonderful herb for lung conditions and parasites. There are more uses of course, but I want to get this posted while it is still Earth Day, so that will have to do for now.<\/p>\n

Nature’s Sunshine uses this herb in these formulas: Artemisia Combination<\/strong> and Caprylic Acid Combination<\/strong>. Both of these combinations are part of the Candida Clear Pak<\/strong> and the Para Pak<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Elecampane is also part of the ULC-R<\/strong> formula for ulcers<\/a>. Elecampane kills helicobacter pylori bacteria, which is a cause of ulcers, and can lead to more serious stomach issues \u00a0if not correctly addressed.<\/p>\n
