One day the body got together and decided to have a board meeting. Here\u2019s what went on behind closed doors.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

There was an intensive discussion to determine WHO WAS THE MOST \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 IMPORTANT PART OF THE BODY.<\/p>\n

The BRAIN<\/strong> was the first to speak. \u201cWithout me nothing would be \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 accomplished.\u201d<\/p>\n

The HEART<\/strong> spoke up. \u201cWithout me pumping blood to your brain, you could \u00a0 not function.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ARMS<\/strong> laughed. \u201cYou\u2019re both wrong; without me to put food in the \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 mouth, nothing would work.\u201d<\/p>\n

The STOMACH<\/strong> said, \u201cWithout me, your food would not digest.\u201d<\/p>\n

The LUNGS<\/strong> bellowed back. \u201cWithout me, you couldn\u2019t breathe.\u201d<\/p>\n

The EYES<\/strong> blinked, \u201cWithout me, you could not see.\u201d<\/p>\n

The KIDNEYS<\/strong> snorted, \u201cWithout me, you could not detoxify and eliminate.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then the COLON<\/strong> meekly spoke up, \u201cI am important. You need me to \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 eliminate all of the garbage from your systems.\u201d<\/p>\n

Everyone one laughed and made fun of him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow can you be as important as we are? You are just a smelly old sewer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The poor colon- his feelings were hurt! He turned away and thought, \u201cI\u2019ll \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 show them. HE SHUT DOWN!<\/p>\n

Then he sat back and watched what happened.<\/p>\n

The BRAIN was stupefied and could not concentrate on anything.<\/p>\n

The HEART\u2019S beat was weak and irregular; it was too tired to pump oxygen.<\/p>\n

The ARMS were weak, heavy and couldn\u2019t move.<\/p>\n

The LUNGS- their breathing was shallow. They couldn\u2019t get enough oxygen because the heart was too tired to send them fresh blood or take away the carbon dioxide.<\/p>\n

The KIDNEYS quit \u2013 urine started backing up, the legs started swelling, the skin developed a rash and the back hurt.<\/p>\n

Then the COLON looked around and decided it was time to call another \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 meeting. It wasn\u2019t too lively this time, but everyone was in totally agreement.<\/p>\n

The COLON WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT ORGAN!<\/strong><\/p>\n
