Here is the summary of 1 research:<\/p>\n<h2>More Than 80% of COVID Patients Are Vitamin D Deficient<\/h2>\n<p>Currently, the respiratory infection of note is of course COVID-19, and vitamin D appears to have a lot to do with your risk of this infection as well.<\/p>\n<h6>According to a Spanish study<sup><span id=\"edn13\" data-hash=\"#ednref13\">13<\/span>,<\/sup><sup><span id=\"edn14\" data-hash=\"#ednref14\">14<\/span>,<\/sup><sup><span id=\"edn15\" data-hash=\"#ednref15\">15<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0published online October 27, 2020, in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology &amp; Metabolism, 82.2% of COVID-19 patients tested were found to be deficient in vitamin D. As reported by the authors:<sup><span id=\"edn16\" data-hash=\"#ednref16\">16<\/span><\/sup><\/h6>\n<blockquote>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cIn COVID-19 patients, mean<\/em><em>\u00b1<\/em><em>\u00a0SD 25OHD levels were 13.8<\/em><em>\u00b17.2 ng\/ml, compared to 20.9 \u00b1<\/em><em>7.4 ng\/ml in controls. 25OHD values were lower in men than in women. Vitamin D deficiency was found in 82.2% of COVID-19 cases and 47.2% of population-based controls.<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<h6><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>25 OHD inversely correlates to serum ferritin and D-dimer levels.
