Hello Lorene:

I have been intending to get back to you to let you know that I received the NSP products. Mixing the LO-Clo with water wasn’t working for me so I began mixing it with my steel cut oats along with fruit and yogurt and I am enjoying it very much.

The amazing thing is that I just came from my Dr. appointment and my cholesterol has gone down to 3.1 from 8 a couple of months ago. It is the lowest it has ever gone, after only 1 month on the LoClo. I showed the Lo-Clo to my doctor and she said to keep doing what I am doing as she was very impressed.

I did take  lipator sporadically the past couple of months, but because of the leg cramps it was causing I didn’t take them on a regular basis. I will now only take the Lo-Clo along with my exercise program, water and healthy eating and I am feeling great. I have another blood test scheduled for the third week in February where my Dr. will check magnesium levels, cholesterol etc. etc.. I will let you know how it is all working for me. Thank you sharing this good news. Good of you to be creative about taking the LOClo with oatmeal.

Some people do not like taking it with water. One trick is to just put a small amount of water 1/4- 1/2 cup, stir & drink immediately. Then follow with another cup of water, and swish it around to get all the goodness of the herbal formulation from the glass into your stomach!

This is a sign of a good quality product is that it absorbs a lot of water, and thickens quite quickly, with no added unnatural thickeners. QUALITY is paramount, which is why we have been using Nature’s Sunshine since 1985. They work and are affordable!

One of my early teachers was Dr. Versendaal, a chiropractic doctor from whom I learned specialized muscle testing called Contact Reflex Analysis. He said, “Hormones are what make us happy”.

 

Hormones play such an important role in the health of all animals; in their miniscule amounts they have huge effects. They determine our sexual traits, yet both sexes need the same hormones to function; just in differing amounts. Hormones are secreted by endocrine glands in the human body. From the top down these are:  pituitary, hypothalamus, thyroid, parathyroid thymus, pancreas, adrenals ovaries/testes. Hormones are also secreted from fat cells and the colon.

 

Yes, the colon! Did you know that more serotonin is produced in  the colon than in the brain? Instead of anti-depressants, more people could be happier and healthier to ensure their colon is clean and working daily, rather than spending billions on damaging chemical anti-depressants.

 

To give you an idea of their complexity, the adrenal glands are responsible for secreting over 50 different hormones.  Besides their known function of dealing with stress, adrenal hormones also are responsible for fat storage and breakdown, insulin transport, pH balance, allergic response, fluid and mineral balance, temperature control, the list goes on.

 

Hormonal imbalance can manifest as teenage acne, conception problems, miscarriages, PMS, menopause and andropause discomfort, depression, hypo or hyper thyroidism, breast lumps and tenderness, hair loss and mood swings, to name a few.

 

We may ask why present day society is dealing with so many challenges with hormonal balance? Industrial by-products known as endocrine disruptor chemicals (EDC’s) have been on a steady increase in our society. These toxic mimickers have similar structures which can bind with our natural hormone receptors, wreaking havoc on our metabolism. Offenders occur in plastics, household and personal care products, fertilizers, pesticides, heavy metals. Our bodies contain up to 148 synthetic chemicals according to CDC analysis 2005. As the number of chemicals increases annually, this amount has likely doubled by 2014. The National Toxicology Program 2012 Report lists 64 Known Human Carcinogens (cause cancer), including Aflatoxin (found in improperly dried grains, corn, peanuts, some cow milk, rancid oils, cosmetics), Formaldehyde (most vaccines),   Tamoxifen and XRays (medical cancer treatments).  To avoid these one must make informed choices for every purchase or treatment you choose.

 

On the positive side, we can choose to include phytohormones, which are plant based hormonal replacements and precursors. They too can fill our natural hormone receptor sites, but with healthy, gentler forms that prevent the more toxic forms from binding.  These can be a boon to our health, as opposed to the detrimental effects of EDCs and xenohormones.

 

Just one example is Maca, Lepidium meyenii, also known as Peruvian Ginseng. As with all plants, it does not contain hormones, (only animals produce hormones), but acts positively on the hormonal system of both males and females. A four month study using males aged  22 – 44 stated that Maca increased semen volume and total sperm count remarkably. Maca stimulates the glands so they produce needed hormones. Maca has the ability to balance the hypothalamus and pituitary glands promoting healthy adrenal, ovary and testes function. Hi Lorene,
I would like to send you a very warm thanks for being so responsive to our needs today by sharing your knowledge and products. I connected with M. tonight to receive the herbs for my child. We are so grateful to have an alternative to antibiotics.
We’ve read the information you attached and I have a couple questions I’m wondering if you can help to clarify:
1) Can you confirm that we should mix the Lobelia and CBG (1:5 ratio) and give half the adult dosage internally (J. is 27 lbs)?
Mixing the two is not essential; it just makes it easier for internal administration, as you are just giving one preparation, instead of 2. As I now know Junior’s size, I would do it more as a 1:6 ratio – a little Lobelia goes a long way.
2) When you say internally, do you mean orally? Or do you mean drops in the ear?
Good question – actually both. The oral dose is as I suggested (I copied the original email at end of this one). In the ears, just 2 drops is required. If infection is active, I would administer both via mouth and ear, 3-4 times a day.
Lobelia is also good to apply externally 1-2 drops along the bone behind the ear – rub in direction from top of ear down toward the throat lymphatic glands. This is helpful to stop pain and drain mucous via the lymphatics.
Once infection “seems” better , I would continue 2x/day for at least 1 month, then 1x/day for another 2 months to make sure ALL infection is truly gone, not just in remission to come back stronger.
This is what happens with synthetic antibiotics, with added problem that the strains mutate and often return in a stronger form, so doctors either try another antibiotic or have to do stronger doses to have any effect. This is why ear infections keep re-occurring, eventually leading to ear tubes. Read Hear This About Your Ear: Infections and Tinnitus.
Our goal is to completely eradicate it and return the health of the ear, so he is not susceptible. Be sure to read other NB instructions at end.
3) If the dosage is meant to be taken orally, would it be okay to put it in his smoothie in the morning?
Yes, anyway you can get it into him is fine. Remember that you can add 1 tsp – 1 Tbs. of very hot, almost boiling water to the herbs, and let sit about 1 min. to allow alcohol to evaporate, then add it to juice or whatever. If breastfeeding, some mothers find getting the alcohol out, then squirting it with a dropper into the mouth and immediately follow with the breast also works.
4) I have been adding a natural kids immune booster and probiotics to his smoothies in the mornings. Is it okay to continue these while using the CBG/lobelia?
If they are good formulas, without sweeteners or other chemicals, this should be no problem. I have worked with the 300 formulas, herbs and supplements I know work for the last 24 years, so it is sometimes difficult to comment on other products, as it is impossible to check out the Quality and Potency  on all companies.
And yes, if a good product, probiotics are very important when one has used chemical antibiotics.The one I use with children very successfully is Sunshine Heroes Bifidophilus.

I can understand this! So here is one of the most important questions you need to ask:

N.B. What conditions are present that are making him susceptible to the infections?

Does he consume  dairy, sugar or wheat? These are the three prime offenders in all mucous-type infections in children.
It will almost always be something he is exposed to that causes the imbalance and lowers natural immunity, which allows inflammation and sets the stage for bacteria or viruses to live. So start with these three culprits, then if the situation does not improve, look at chemical shampoos or soaps, chlorine in swimming pools, or it could just be the same infection returning. This is why in both natural medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is advised to treat a condition 3  months, plus 1 month for each year the condition has been chronic.
Lastly, I want to offer encouragement: This may seem like a long time, but if it has been recurring already for 3 years, this investment in long term health will be well worth it!
I have had adults with recurring ear infections that have affected their lives for 60 years. In 6 months they are infection free. One man had them so frequently that for several years it prevented surgery to fix a torn ear drum. In 6 months, he was able to have his surgery and get his hearing back!

infants, under 20 pounds:             use approx. 1/3 adult dose listed on bottle.
between 20 – 80 pounds weight:  use 1/2 dosage
over 80 lbs:                                        use adult dosage

After 40 Years of Research Dr Judy Reveals the  Benefits of Crystal Free CoQ10

CoQ10 is a vitamin like substance found in all living organisms in nature. It was discovered by Fredrick Crane at the Enzyme Research Center at the U of Wisconsin.   • Low energy – 6 fold increase in energy using Crystal Free CoQ10 at  lower dosages than the common crystal CoQ10.

In studies using the new High Absorption CoQ10, the effectiveness of the CoQ10 is much improved due to the better absorption and higher blood levels of CoQ10. “
  • Muscle ataxia is a disease of the muscles having their origins in the central nervous system. “When these patients are supplemented with SIBR Research Crystal Free CoQ10 they regain the tone and strength in their legs. They again have the strength to stand and to walk. Again this response is not fast, but takes several months to be manifested. This appears to be related to the times it takes to build up the peripheral and brain CoQ10 levels in order to build up the skeletal muscle mitochondria and to recondition the skeletal muscles.”
  • Immunity Studies done in the 70’s and 80’s found that people with low immunity also had a low count of CoQ10. Energy is essential for the body cells to make immune system elements.   • Cancers have become the major cause of death in the Canadian population. CoQ10 is broken down in the liver to a G-protein which stops and prevents the growth of cancer cells. CoQ10 is used in Europe and other parts of the world as a means of preventing adverse side effects of chemo and radiation therapy for the treatment of cancers. One can alternate a program of Paw Paw and CoQ10; ask your natural health practitioner about this option.
  • Statin drugs – cholesterol lowering Statin drugs are supposed to carry a warning that if they have low energy, fatigue, muscle cramps or heart failure, one should take CoQ10 and see your physician. Adverse affects of statin drugs  limit quality of life and survival as they deplete CoQ10.
  • Cardiac arrhythmia – poorly absorbed CoQ10 reduced arrhythmia by about 1/3. A study done in 2010 showed that the new crystal free CoQ10 can reduced the arrhythmia almost completely.

Q & A : Porphyria cutanea tarda

QUESTION:
I have been diagnosed with Porphyria cutanea tarda. My father and brother had the same thing. I went to hospital today and had 3 ltrs of blood removed from my body. This procedure will take place every 2 weeks.  My body lacks the ability to rid itself of iron.  When sores appeared they got infected with staph, which thanks to your and Helga’s help I cleared up with Oregon Grape.  So I was misdiagnosed from beginning. They feel that menopause  along with me using tanning booth all summer awakened this condition. I had 10 times normal iron levels in my blood.
I have never been to tanning salon before and must say I will NEVER again. thankfully my liver was only mildly inflamed.
Can you recommend a good liver cleanse?

ANSWER:
